Day 1. Arrival and visit Ngamba Island
On setting foot at the airport, you will find our driver guide set to drop you off at beach of Lake Victoria from where you set off for Ngamba Island on a small and intimate boat. Ngamba is a pristine Island in Lake Victoria where chimps rescued from different parts of Africa are rehabilitated.
Day 2. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In an effort to make this 9 hour journey less exhausting, the trip will take a road trip format with enough stopovers at unique attractions at the way like Igongo Cultural Museum and Equator. You will drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, a gem at the heart of the Albertine Rift Valley.
Day 3. Gorilla tracking in Bwindi
The gorilla adventure here will give you that distinct feeling, that you humans are still closely related to gorillas despite having undergone evolution. A big alpha male might come down from the trees and lay relaxed on the ground chewing, right next to you. Even though you will be very close, you will not feel threatened as all members of the family are not violent to humans. This follows a successful habituation they underwent. The proximity will allow you to discover why gorillas are said to be as smart as chimps although quite laidback.
In the evening, you will visit Nkuringo Cultural Center or CTPHs coffee experience, depending on which one is closer to the lodge you chose to stay at.
Overnight at a Lakefront Resort overlooking Africa’s second deepest lake, Bunyonyi.
After a sightseeing boat cruise around Lake Bunyonyi and Departure for Entebbe International Airport of Kigali Airport.
